Slow Cooker Ravioli Casserole
Ingredients:
1 lb (450 g) ground beef (or Italian sausage)
1 small onion, chopped
2–3 garlic cloves, minced
1 jar (24 oz / 680 g) marinara or pasta sauce
1 can (14 oz / 400 g) diced tomatoes (optional, for extra sauce)
1 package (25 oz / 700 g) frozen cheese ravioli
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or dried basil/oregano)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Cook the meat:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with onion until browned. Add garlic and cook for another 1–2 minutes. Drain any excess fat. - Add sauce:
Stir in the marinara sauce, diced tomatoes (if using), Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 5 minutes. - Layer in slow cooker:
Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the slow cooker.
Add a single layer of frozen ravioli.
Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Repeat the layers: sauce → ravioli → cheese, until all ingredients are used. Finish with sauce and cheese on top.
- Cook:
Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until the ravioli is cooked through and the cheese is melted. - Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy warm.
