Layered Rice & Meat Bake.


Ingredients

For the rice layer:

2 cups cooked rice

2 tbsp butter

1/2 cup milk (optional for creaminess)

Salt & black pepper to taste

For the meat layer:

400–500 g ground beef

1 onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 cup tomato sauce (optional)

Salt, black pepper

Paprika (optional)

A little oil for cooking

For the top:

1 to 2 cups shredded mozzarella or any melting cheese


Preparation

  1. Prepare the rice layer
  2. In a bowl, mix the cooked rice with butter, milk, salt, and pepper.
  3. Combine well until the rice becomes creamy.
  4. Prepare the meat filling
  5. Heat a little oil in a pan.
  6. Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
  7. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  8. Add tomato paste and tomato sauce.
  9. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  10. Cook for 5–7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  11. Assemble the layers
  12. In an oven dish, add a layer of rice and spread it evenly.
  13. Add a layer of the meat mixture.
  14. Repeat the layers (rice → meat → rice).
  15. Top with shredded cheese.
  16. Bake
  17. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  18. Bake for 15–20 minutes until the cheese melts and becomes golden.

Serving

Let it rest for 5 minutes, then cut and serve.
It becomes like a delicious layered rice casserole.
