Fried Crispy Chicken


Ingredients

6 chicken drumsticks (or any chicken pieces)

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup cornstarch

2 eggs

1 cup milk (or buttermilk)

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon turmeric (optional)

1 teaspoon chili powder (optional, for spice)

Oil for frying


Preparation

  1. Season the chicken

Mix the chicken with:

Salt

Black pepper

Paprika

Garlic powder

Let it rest for 30 minutes.

  1. Prepare the wet mixture

In a bowl, whisk together:

Eggs

Milk (or buttermilk)

  1. Prepare the dry mixture

In another bowl, mix:

Flour

Cornstarch

Salt

Black pepper

Paprika

Garlic powder

Turmeric (optional)

  1. Coat the chicken

Dip each chicken piece:

  1. Into the wet mixture
  2. Then into the dry mixture
  3. Repeat the process twice for extra crispiness
  4. Fry the chicken

Heat oil on medium.

Fry the chicken for 12–15 minutes until golden and crispy.

Place on paper towels to remove excess oil.
