Ingredients:

2 large potatoes

2 tablespoons butter (or more to taste)

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

Fresh chives or green onions, chopped


Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Wash the potatoes well and scrub the skin. Pat them dry with a towel.
  3. Pierce the potatoes several times with a fork to allow steam to escape.
  4. Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack (or on a baking sheet) and bake for about 50–60 minutes, or until the inside is soft and the skin is crispy.
  5. Remove from the oven, cut a slit in the center of each potato, and gently press the ends to open it.
  6. Add a slice of butter inside, then sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and chopped chives.
  7. Serve hot.

👉 You can also add toppings like sour cream, grated cheese, or crispy bacon if you like.
